Former Chief Minister of Rajasthan and senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot has expressed grief over the suicide of a contractual employee in the Rajasthan High Court. He said that the suicide by contract worker Manish Saini is very sad. He prayed to God to give peace to the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family. Besides, Bhajan Lal made a big demand from the government regarding the contract workers of the state.
Ashok Gehlot has said that the state government should take the screening process forward and regularize the contract workers and give them proper pay scale. Gehlot made this demand from the government after the case of suicide of a contractual employee came to light in Rajasthan High Court on Friday.
He said that Manish was a low paid contract worker. The state government should ensure financial assistance to the families of the victims. Gehlot said that during our government, contractual service rules were made to safeguard the future of about one lakh ten thousand contract workers and the process of screening was started. The present government should immediately take the above process forward and regularize all the contract workers and give them appropriate pay scales.
Let us tell you that Manish Saini was working on contract in the High Court. He came to the High Court at 7 am on Friday morning and after some time committed suicide by hanging himself. Fellow employees say that he was upset with the very low salary and the behavior of other employees. The matter of his regular recruitment was in the court. He had spent lakhs of rupees in this case. Troubled by financial and mental pressure, Manish finally committed suicide in the High Court premises.
