In Rajasthan, Bhajan Lal government will pay salaries to state employees a day earlier i.e. on 30th October due to Diwali. The Finance Department has issued orders. On the other hand, DA has not been announced yet by the government in Rajasthan. In such a situation, there seems to be little hope of increased DA in the salary for the month of October.
The Central Government had announced a three percent increase in DA on October 16, but even after eight days, the increase in DA has not been announced in Rajasthan. A possibility is also being expressed that if DA is announced late, then the increased amount will be available only in the salary of November. The remaining arrears of increased dearness allowance from July to October can be deposited in the GPF account of the employees. This will not put any financial burden on the government at present.
The Central Government has increased DA by three percent. In such a situation, it is expected that the state government will also increase DA by three percent only. If this happens, then in Rajasthan also the dearness allowance of government employees will increase to 53 percent.
