A hearing will be held on Saturday in the Municipal Corporation Commissioner’s Court in the case of illegal construction in the mosque built in Sanjauli, a suburb of Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. A decision regarding illegal construction may come in the 46th hearing to be held in the court of Municipal Corporation Commissioner Bhupendra Atri. Hindu organizations from the state to the country are keeping an eye on the court’s decision. Before this, this case had been heard 45 times. During the last hearing held on September 7, the Mosque Committee and the Waqf Board could not give satisfactory answers regarding the construction of the upper two and a half floors of the mosque. The court has ordered the junior engineer of the corporation to measure the mosque and file a status report. On September 12, Hindu organizations had staged a violent protest in Sanjauli regarding this mosque.

Hindu organizations have announced that if a decision is not taken in the hearing to be held on Saturday, then a jail bharo movement will be started. On the other hand, seeing the increasing dispute over the mosque, the Muslim side has come to the court of the Corporation Commissioner and given a written application to demolish the illegal part of the mosque. In such a situation, the hearing to be held on Saturday has become quite interesting and everyone’s eyes are fixed on the decision of the Commissioner Court. The police administration has also become alert in view of the hearing of the mosque case. Shimla Police has tightened security at the Sanjauli Masjid site. Besides, security has also been tightened in the court premises located at Chakkar.

Meanwhile, before the hearing on Sanjauli Masjid dispute, Devbhoomi Sangharsh Samiti recited Hanuman Chalisa outside Sanjauli police post this evening. Actually, a call was given for recitation of Hanuman Chalisa in Sanjauli Lakshmi Narayan Temple, but people angry over Devbhoomi Sangharsh Samiti members and women being made to sit for questioning in the outpost for several hours, recited Hanuman Chalisa outside the Sanjauli police post itself. Accused the police administration of harassing women.

Devbhoomi Sangharsh Samiti said that the government and administration are anti-Sanatan. Today a call was given for recitation of Hanuman Chalisa in Lakshmi Narayan temple but the police detained the women in the post which is not acceptable. If the verdict is not in favor of Devbhoomi and Sanatan in the Municipal Corporation Commissioner’s court tomorrow, then Jail Bharo movement will be started across the state from October 6. He said that in the first phase the Jail Bharo movement will be started with one person from the house and in the second phase with the family and animals of the house. Devbhoomi Sangharsh Samiti gave a message to the Chief Minister to make arrangements for fodder for the common people as well as the animals. If the atmosphere in the state deteriorates, the government and administration will be responsible for it.
