The controversy over illegal mosque construction in Himachal Pradesh is not coming to an end. Hindu organization Devbhoomi Sangharsh Samiti has now made a big announcement. Sangharsh Samiti will hold demonstrations in all the district headquarters of the state on September 28 to warn the government and administration. If a decision is not taken on October 5 in the Sanjauli mosque dispute, a jail bharo aandolan will be started.
Bharat Bhushan, the convener of Devbhoomi Sangharsh Samiti, said during a press conference in Shimla on Monday that if the Municipal Court does not take any decision in the Sanjauli Masjid case on October 5, then the Devbhoomi Sangharsh Samiti will start a jail bharo movement across the state. He said that in the mass movement that started on September 1, demonstrations have been held at 28 places across the state so far. This is the first movement in the history of Himachal Pradesh. It does not have a single leader, no political party or organization is leading it. The society here has stood up for this movement. People from outside states are coming to Himachal without any identity and are trying to spoil the atmosphere and the people of Devbhoomi will not tolerate this.
There will be demonstrations across the state on September 28
Bharat Bhushan said that to alert the government and administration, peaceful demonstrations will be held on September 28 at all the district headquarters of the state regarding the illegal mosque. Through this, we will send a message to the government and administration that the society is not silent on this issue. He clearly said that if the decision on the illegal mosque of Sanjauli comes in the interest of the people of Himachal, then it will be welcomed, otherwise the committee will struggle till the illegal encroachment is removed. He said that Dev Bhoomi Sangharsh Samiti has formed 26 units on the entire tehsil level regarding this issue.
Bharat Bhushan also demanded from all the Gram Panchayats of the state through Sangharsh Samiti that they should take strict action against illegal immigrants. He said that all the Panchayats should pass a resolution in the Gram Sabhas to be held on October 2 that illegal people will not be allowed entry in their Panchayats. If someone comes to sell goods, then his complete verification should be done and his time should also be fixed there. He said that people of a community of hawkers are committing crimes in the name of selling suits or goods in villages and eloping with innocent daughters-in-law. In the last one year, more than 300 women’s missing reports have been registered in the police stations of Himachal.
