CM met PM
Earlier, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Wednesday. During this, Prime Minister Modi congratulated Saini for BJP’s ‘historic’ victory and expressed confidence that Haryana’s role is going to become more important in the resolution of developed India. BJP had indicated during the elections that in case of victory, Saini would be its choice for the top post. In March, in place of Manohar Lal Khattar, Saini, who came from Other Backward Class, was given the command of the post of Chief Minister of the state.
Apart from Prime Minister Modi, Saini also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP President JP Nadda. Sharing pictures of the meeting on social media platform ‘X’, Modi posted, “Met Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini ji and congratulated him and congratulated him for BJP’s historic victory in the assembly elections.” I am confident that Haryana’s role is going to become more important in the determination of a developed India.
Credit of victory to PM Modi’s policies
Earlier, while talking to reporters after meeting the Prime Minister, Saini attributed the party’s success to the policies of Prime Minister Modi. He said that even though election analysts had claimed chances of Congress winning the elections, he always insisted that people would trust the BJP government because of its policies. On the question of Congress raising doubts on Electronic Voting Machine (EVM), he said that the opposition party is creating a storm of lies.
He said, “The credit for this big victory goes to Prime Minister Modi who in the last 10 years has brought such schemes which have benefited the poor, farmers, youth and women. These helped all sections of the society. People love him and that is why the BJP has come to power for the third time with a thumping majority.” Asked who will be the next chief minister and when will the swearing-in ceremony take place, Saini said it is the right of the central leadership and the party to decide. To the Parliamentary Board.

“Central observers will soon visit the state and select the legislature party leader,” he said. After this the parliamentary board will take a decision.” Ignoring the anti-incumbency wave, the ruling BJP retained power in Haryana by scoring a ‘hat-trick’ of victories and put an end to Congress’s efforts to make a comeback in the assembly elections. The results of Haryana Assembly elections were declared on Tuesday.
BJP achieved its best achievement till date by winning 48 seats. The number of seats won by BJP is 11 more than that of Congress. Whereas parties like Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) were defeated and Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) could get only two seats. AAP had contested the Haryana Assembly elections alone. BJP will form the government in Haryana for the third consecutive time, proving wrong the ‘exit polls’ (post-election surveys) which predicted an easy victory of the Congress. Assembly elections were held in Haryana in a single phase on October 5.
