Delhi Assembly Election 2025: The campaign for Delhi assembly elections came to an end on Monday evening. Voting is to be held in Delhi on February 5. To make the voting peaceful and fair, 150 and 30 thousand policemen of paramilitary forces have been deployed in the city. Special CP (Crime) and Election Cell in -charge Devesh Chandra Srivastava has prepared preparations for elections in Delhi on February 5.
He said that strong security arrangements have been made during the voting. Three thousand sensitive polling stations have been identified in Delhi. Where voting will be monitored through drones. Also, cash, liquor and drugs have also been seized in Delhi during regular checking.
Special CP Devesh Chandra Srivastava informed that additional police force will be deployed at sensitive polling stations in Delhi. Quick response teams (QRT) will also be deployed at polling stations to maintain peace and law and order. Cyber expert officers will also be deployed during the election. More than 30 thousand police personnel will be deployed on a rumble which will monitor the polling stations.
More than 1000 cases registered for model code of conduct violation
According to Delhi Police data, more than a thousand cases have been registered before the Delhi Assembly elections on February 5 of alleged violations of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) before voting. All these cases have been reported between January 7 to February 2 since the code of conduct came into effect.

1,08,258 liters of liquor was seized by security agencies during the Delhi Assembly elections. At the same time, 1,353 people have been arrested. Also, during the checking, 196.602 kg drugs worth more than Rs 77.9 crore have also been seized by security agencies. More than 1,200 banned injections were also recovered. At the same time, 177 people were arrested during the investigation by the police. Along with this, police officers have also seized Rs 11.23 crore cash and 37.39 kg of silver during the investigation.
