Chief Minister inaugurates International Flower Exhibition in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Friday inaugurated the International Flower Exhibition at Sabarmati Riverfront. It will remain open to the public till January 22. The show is divided into six zones, displaying more than 10 lakh flowers of 50 species and more than 30 sculptures made of clay.

Ticket price is 70 to 100 rupees

This year thousands of people can come to see the flower exhibition. Visitors can use audio guides to learn more about the flowers, clay sculptures and zones by scanning QR codes available throughout the venue. According to the official website, the entry fee is Rs 100 on Saturday and Sunday and Rs 70 from Monday to Friday.

Chief Minister inaugurates International Flower Exhibition in Ahmedabad

Last year around 20 lakh visitors came to this exhibition and this year this record will be broken. Last year, the exhibition was mentioned in the ‘Guinness World Records’ for the much-discussed 400 meter long wall of flowers. The first flower show was organized at ‘Sabarmati Riverfront’ in 2013.

What is in the six zones

Zone-1: Focuses on the growth and development of the country, featuring iconic symbols such as flower sculptures of elephants, lotus, arches and Konark Chakra. There are special attractions here for children also.

Zone 2: It displays sculptures of animals like tiger, peacock, flamingo and Asiatic lion, which symbolize the rich biodiversity of India.
Zone 3: Depicts India’s global leadership in addressing challenges such as climate change, emphasizing a sustainable future.
Zones 4 and 5 highlight India’s rich cultural heritage, history and natural beauty through various installations and floral art.
Zone 6: It depicts India’s aspirations, including themes like the 2036 Olympics, Gandhiji’s three monkeys and the vision of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family).
