Bihar Crime News: A sensational incident has come to light on Friday night in Patna, the capital of Bihar. Here a big businessman, Magadh Hospital owner and BJP leader Gopal Khemka was shot dead. The incident took place at around 11 pm near the Panash Hotel in Gandhi Maidan police station area, when Khemka was going towards his apartment. Unidentified criminals fired on his car and fired bullets at him, killing him on the spot.
What is the whole matter?
According to the police, the attackers shot on Khemka’s head. After the incident, the police recovered four kiosks from the spot and started investigating CCTV footage. Senior SP Deeksha of Patna claimed to have arrested the killers soon, but the local people accused the police of arriving late. Actually, where this incident happened, the area is just two and a half meters away from the Gandhi Maidan police station. However, it took the police to arrive at the scene, causing anger among the people.
In this case, Patna SP Deeksha said, when the incident was reported at around 11 pm on July 4, the spot was secured and the investigation is on. A bullet and a kiosk have been recovered from the spot.
Along with this, Bihar Police has also formed SIT on the Gopal Khemka murder case, which will be led by SP City Central.
Who was Gopal Khemka?
Gopal Khemka was a major businessman of Patna, who had private hospitals, drug shops and many other businesses. He was also a former secretary of the Bankipur Club and was associated with the BJP. He has a son doctor and the daughter lives in London.
On December 20, 2018, Khemka’s son Gunjan Khemka was also shot dead in Hajipur, whose case is still unresolved. An accused arrested in that case has also been murdered. The police are fearing an old rivalry behind this murder.
This incident has again questioned law and order in Bihar. There is panic in the local business community, and many people are calling it the return of “Jungle Raj”. At present, the police has intensified the investigation.
