An incident of rape of a nine year old girl by entering her house has come to light in Rampur sub-division of Shimla district. The accused entered the house and tortured the girl and fled away. The accused is said to be married. He also has children. The victim is said to be of Nepali origin. His parents work in the apple orchard of a local orchardist. The victim’s family is living in a rented house near an apple orchard in a village in Rampur.
The incident took place on the evening of October 12 when the victim’s family members were not present at home. The accused had to come and go to the victim’s house. The accused found the victim alone and raped her. A Nepali couple from the neighborhood entered the victim’s house when they heard her screaming.
Seeing the neighbours, the accused ran away leaving the girl behind. In this way the neighbors saved the victim. Rampur Police has registered a case against the accused Nanak son Mohan Singh on the complaint of the complainant of Nepali origin. A case has been registered against the accused under Section 65(2) of the Indian Judicial Code and POCSO Act.
Rampur police is conducting raids in search of the absconding accused. He has not been caught yet. The victim girl is scared after this incident. The police is getting the victim’s medical done. In this case, DSP Rampur Naresh Sharma said that the accused is being searched. The accused will be arrested soon. A case has been registered against the accused under sections of POCSO and rape.
