Police has arrested Shiromani Akali Dal leader Tejinder Singh in connection with the shooting of Aam Aadmi Party’s Kisan Wing leader Trilochan Singh in Khanna’s village Ikolaha on the evening of September 9. SHO Hardeep Singh said that information was received that the accused was hiding in the area around Khanna. After this, accused Tejinder Singh was arrested by conducting a raid. Earlier, police had arrested Ranjeet Singh, an accused in the case, with a licensed revolver. Tejinder Singh’s brother Kulwinder Singh is still absconding. Tejinder Singh is the vice-president of the Akali Dal Kisan Wing.

His brother Kulwinder Singh has also been named in the case, who is still absconding. One of the accused Ranjeet Singh was arrested by the police on September 11 along with a licensed revolver. Then the police told that the accused Ranjeet and Trilochan Singh had a fight a few years ago. Despite the settlement, Ranjeet had a grudge. That is why he shot Trilochan Singh with his licensed revolver and killed him. He fired four bullets, two of which hit the stomach and one hit the head.

Trilochan Singh had contested the sarpanch election in the village on behalf of Akali Dal last time but he lost. Some time ago he joined Aam Aadmi Party. The party had made him the president of the farmer wing. Trilochan Singh was preparing to contest the sarpanch election in the village this time too. Meanwhile, he was murdered. AAP leader Trilochan Singh was returning home from his farm on Monday evening. Someone shot him on the way to the village. His body was found lying on the roadside. His son, with the help of local people, took him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Trilochan Singh’s son Harpreet Singh had alleged murder and said that his father was killed due to enmity. The police is also investigating the case from every angle.
