IMD Monsoon Forecast Delhi Rain: Light rain occurred in many parts of the national capital Delhi on Monday morning. Earlier, it rained in Delhi on Sunday and Saturday as well. Since this morning, dark clouds have camped in the sky. However, there is also strong sunlight in between, due to which the heat and humidity has increased and Delhiites are troubled. The minimum temperature in Delhi on Monday was recorded at 29 degrees Celsius, which is 1.8 degrees more than the season’s average. At 8:30 am, the relative humidity in Delhi was recorded at 76 percent. The maximum temperature in the city on Sunday was recorded at 37.1 degrees Celsius, which was two degrees more than the season’s average temperature.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that light to moderate rain may occur in many states of North India including Delhi-NCR during the next 24 hours. IMD has said that light rain is possible in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh, Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir, Gangetic West Bengal, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu within the next 24 hours. Apart from this, during the next 24 hours, moderate to heavy rains with very heavy rains at some places have also been predicted in Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka, parts of Madhya Maharashtra and northern interior Karnataka.
IMD has said in its latest bulletin that the monsoon line is passing over Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan, Hisar in Haryana, Delhi, Barabanki in UP, Dehri on Son in Bihar, Asansol in West Bengal and is moving towards the southeast to the northeast of the Bay of Bengal. Apart from this, a cyclonic circulation is formed over North Gujarat. Another cyclonic circulation is also formed near Jharkhand and its surrounding areas. Due to this, there are chances of rain in these areas as well.
According to IMD, due to the effect of the above system, moderate to heavy rains are expected from Rajasthan to West Bengal for the next five days. The Meteorological Department has said that heavy to very heavy rains can also be recorded at some places. IMD said that from 15 to 19 July, very heavy rains may occur in some areas of eastern Rajasthan and Uttarakhand, while some areas of western Uttar Pradesh adjoining Delhi are likely to receive heavy rains on 15, 17 and 18 July.
In the latest forecast of IMD, it has been said that Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and western Rajasthan may receive light to moderate rainfall for the next five days. IMD has said that monsoon is likely to remain active in many places of eastern Rajasthan for the next 4-5 days and there is a possibility of heavy rainfall at some places in Kota, Udaipur division. At the same time, there is a possibility of increase in rainfall on 17-18 July and very heavy rainfall at some places in Kota, Udaipur, Ajmer division.
According to the Meteorological Department, apart from this, light to moderate rains may occur in Kerala, Vidarbha, Marathwada, South Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat with heavy rains at some places. Light to moderate rains may occur in Sikkim, Northeast India, South Interior Karnataka, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and parts of Rajasthan. The IMD has said that heavy rains are expected at isolated places in many districts of Telangana during the next five days. During this period, thunderstorms and strong winds at the speed of 30-40 kmph are expected at isolated places in many districts of the state.
