A case of stone pelting has come to light during the trial run of the Vande Bharat Express train near Bagbahara railway station in Mahasamund, Chhattisgarh. Due to the stone pelting, the glass of three coaches of the train broke. Railway police have registered a case under section 153 of the Railway Act in connection with this incident and arrested 5 accused. The brother of one of the arrested accused is a councilor.
According to Aaj Tak’s report, a Railway Protection Force (RPF) official said that on Friday, the trial run of the Vande Bharat train, which is going to run from the 16th, was going on. During this, some people pelted stones on the moving train near Bagbahara. Due to this, the glass of three coaches of the train C2-10, C4-1, C9-78 broke. Our armed supporting party present in the train informed about this. After this, a team of Railway Police immediately went to the spot and arrested 5 accused. All five accused are residents of Bagbahara. The accused have been identified as Shiv Kumar Baghel, Devendra Kumar, Jeetu Pandey, Sonwani and Arjun Yadav. The RPF official said that during interrogation of the arrested people, it was found that the brother named Shiv Kumar Baghel is a councilor.

Let us tell you that, even before this, incidents of stone pelting on Vande Bharat Express train have been reported in many cities. Just a few days ago, an unknown person had pelted stones on the Vande Bharat Express train going from Lucknow to Patna near Varanasi.
In July, miscreants threw stones at the Vande Bharat Express train going from Gorakhpur to Lucknow. Several window panes of three coaches were broken. The sudden stone pelting on the train caused panic among the passengers inside the coach. However, no passenger was injured in this.
