Strong attack on Naxalites continues in Chhattisgarh, more than 120 Naxalites killed in 10 major encounters this year

On Friday, in the biggest Naxal operation going on in Chhattisgarh, security force personnel killed about 30 Naxalites. The encounter took place in the forests of Nendur and Thulathuli villages in Abujhmad area on the border of Narayanpur and Dantewada. In which till late evening bodies of 28 Naxalites had been recovered and sources say that this figure is expected to increase. However, this year is proving to be very successful for the security forces on the Naxalite front in Chhattisgarh. Meanwhile, in a total of 10 major encounters this year, soldiers have killed more than 100 Maoists. In this news, we are telling you about the ten big encounters that took place in Chhattisgarh this year, in which at least 5 Naxalites were killed.

Number of Naxalites killed – 29
Place- Kanker District, Chhattisgarh

The Naxalites suffered heavy losses in the encounter that took place between security forces and Naxalites on April 16 in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh. During this period, a total of 29 Naxalites were killed, along with this a large quantity of INSAS, AK 47, SLR, carbine, 303 rifles were also recovered. Top Naxal commander Shankar Rao and Lalita were also killed in the same encounter, a reward of Rs 25 lakh each was declared on both of them. Whereas Naxalite Raju was also killed in the same encounter.

Place- Narayanpur and Kanker District, Chhattisgarh

In this encounter with Naxalites in the border areas of Narayanpur and Kanker districts, security forces had killed 10 Maoists. This encounter took place in Abujhmad area when a joint party of DRG and STF jawans had left for the Naxal operation. During the search of the incident site after the encounter, bodies of a total of 10 Maoists including 3 female Maoists were recovered. During the search, the police had recovered a huge quantity of arms, ammunition and items of daily use including one AK 47 rifle and one INSAS rifle from the Naxalite camp.

Place- Bijapur

After this encounter in Bijapur, the security forces had claimed to have killed a total of 12 Naxalites in the encounter, including Budhu Oyam and Kallu Punem, two members of Military Company No. 2 of the banned Communist Party of India (Maoist). A reward of Rs 8 lakh was declared on the heads of Budhu Oyam and Kallu Punem. Other suspects killed in the encounter included Lakhe Kunjam, a member of Gangalur Area Committee of Naxalites and Bhima Karam, a member of Army Platoon No. 12. There was a reward of Rs 5 lakh each on their heads. The other dead were militia platoon commander Sannu Lakom and Janata Sarkar (People’s Government) deputy chief Avalam, who had a bounty of Rs 2 lakh on his head.

In this encounter with Naxalites on May 23, security forces had killed 7 Naxalites on the border of Naxal affected areas of Narayanpur, Bijapur and Dantewada. This encounter took place when 1000 soldiers from three districts had gone on a searching operation. Giving information about this, Narayanpur SP Prabhat Kumar had said that on the information of Naxalites of Platoon No. 16 and Indravati Area Committee in the border area of ​​Narayanpur-Bijapur district, teams of STF along with DRG and Bastar fighters of Narayanpur, Dantewada and Bastar districts. Had gone on a search operation. During this period, there were encounters between Naxalites and soldiers in different areas.

In this encounter that took place in the border area of ​​Narayanpur-Dantewada district in Chhattisgarh, 7 Naxalites were killed by Naxalites and District Reserve Group (DRG) soldiers. The encounter took place when security forces were sent to Mungeri and Gobel areas on the border of Narayanpur, Dantewada and Kondagaon districts as part of an anti-Naxal operation.

Eight Naxalites were killed in the encounter with security personnel on Saturday, June 15 in Narayanpur district, out of which six were Naxalites with rewards. According to the police, a cash reward of Rs 48 lakh was declared on these senior cadres. The killed Naxalites were cadres of PLGA (People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army) Military Company No. 1 and Maad Division Supply Team of the Maoists. Police had killed eight Naxalites during an encounter in the forests near Kutul-Farsabeda and Kodameta villages in Narayanpur district.
