Gujarat Police arrested the accused
A heart-wrenching incident was witnessed recently in Dharpur Medical College in Patan district of Gujarat. Actually, Anil, a first year student, died on Saturday after ragging in the medical college here. In this case, the police had registered an FIR against 15 people. The police have arrested all these 15 students. Let us tell you that when this matter came to light after the death of the student, the college had filed a complaint against 15 third year students on the basis of the report of the Anti Ragging Committee.
Police arrested the accused
In fact, these 15 students were accused of ragging and mentally torturing a first year student. In this case, a complaint was lodged with the police regarding culpable homicide. On the basis of this, the police have now arrested all the 15 senior students. The police is now engaged in further investigation. However, the police have also examined the CCTV footage in this case, in which it has come to light that due to keeping Anil standing for about 3 hours, he first became unconscious and then he died.
Death after ragging
Police told in this case that before the death of the 18 year old student, the students had ragged him. Police said all the accused are second year MBBS students. He had kept some junior students, including the deceased student, standing in the hostel room for more than three hours on Saturday night. He was also tortured mentally and physically. According to the police FIR, on Saturday night the first year students were called to a hostel room for introduction. Here the junior students were made to stand for three and a half hours and were asked to sing and dance. During this, he was forced to use abusive language and not to leave the room. Due to mental and physical torture by the students, Anil’s health deteriorated and he fell unconscious. When he was taken to the hospital, the doctors declared him dead.
