Bhagalpur College of Engineering (BCE) students of Bihar had a fierce clash with the local people. More than half a dozen students have been injured in this incident. In this, one student each of third year and second year has suffered serious injuries. Both of them suffered deep injuries on their heads and mouths. He has been admitted to JLNMCH after first aid. In protest against the incident, BCE students blocked the Sabour-Jeromile NH-80 road for about two hours. Police reached the spot, the administration broke the jam after convincing and pacifying the students.
Regarding the incident, an injured second year student of BCE said that they were strolling in the campus at around 4.30 pm. Meanwhile, a local boy named Raj was riding fast on a two-wheeler bike in the campus. A student got hurt by his bike. When the students protested against this, the bike rider threatened those students and left the campus. According to the student, they felt that the matter was covered up. The student told that in the evening, when they went out of the college to have tea, more than a dozen boys attacked them with weapons. Other college students who came to intervene were also brutally beaten. Students allege that local youths often enter the campus without any intention of molesting the girl students.

College Principal Dr. OP Rai also arrived after the incident. The principal said that the police is taking action at its level regarding the incident. Efforts will be made to ban the entry of outsiders in the campus. All possible steps will be taken for the safety of students. In this case, Zeromile Police Station Officer Murlidhar Sah said that action will be taken after written complaint is received.
