Rescue operation continues to save the innocent who fell in Manhole.
A creating incident has come to light from Surat in Gujarat. On Wednesday evening, a 2 -year -old child fell into an open manhole of sewer in Variyav area of the city. Search operations continue to search for the child, including local people including Surat Fire and Emergency Services (SFES) employees. Due to the rapid flow of water, the child has been feared to flow forward.
Manhole’s lid was damaged by passing heavy vehicle
The child was going to Radhika Point with her mother, when Manhole fell into an open lid. Chief Fire Officer Basant Parikh said that the lid of Manhole was damaged by the passing of a heavy vehicle. He said that a 2 -year -old child has fallen in it. The area has been investigated about 100-150 meters to search for the child. A search operation is being carried out to search for the child. There are 60-70 employees deployed here in the rescue operation. At present, nothing has been known about the child.
Search for child continues
According to officials present at the scene, it is estimated that the child is swept away with a edge of water. This is the reason that all manhole is being checked by SFES employees. The official said that the drainage system of this area contains a mixture of strong water and sewerage water, which is a threat to the child’s life. Efforts are being made to find out the child as soon as possible. At present, nothing has been known about the child.
