Stalin further said, a high -level committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of former Supreme Court Justice Kurian Joseph to recommend measures for autonomy. It will also include former bureaucrats Ashok Shetty and MU Nagarajan. The committee has been given a deadline by January 2026 to submit the report, while the final report will have to be submitted by 2028 with its detailed recommendations.

CM Stalin also targeted the central government for NEET in addition to the autonomy of the state in the assembly. He said that the central government is trying to impose Hindi language through the National Education Policy. He said, “We have lost many students because of the NEET exam. We are constantly opposing the NEET exam. The central government is trying to impose Hindi in Tamil Nadu in the name of Trishag policy. Because we have rejected NEP, so the central government has not released Rs 2500 crore to the state.”
