Tej Pratap Yadav News: Tej Pratap Yadav, son of former minister and RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, has made an important announcement about the upcoming assembly elections, creating a stir in Bihar politics. He has announced that he will contest from Mahua assembly seat as an independent candidate.
Tej Pratap has also started a new platform called ‘Team Tej Pratap Yadav’. He said that this is not an open platform but an open platform. Any person can join social and political work here. He said, our door is open to everyone. We want to represent every section of the society, especially the youth.
This announcement has not only increased concern for RJD but has also increased the possibility of interesting contest on Mahua seat. Tej Pratap had earlier also indicated that if the party did not give him a ticket, he would contest independent elections. He expressed emotional connection over his constituency Mahua and said, Mahua is our work place, we will make it a district. The people there are saying that if someone else gets a ticket, he will get it done.
Elections may be held in Bihar in October-November
Bihar assembly elections are expected to be held in October-November 2025 as the term of the current assembly ends on 22 November. The Election Commission has started a special revision process from 25 June and the final voter list will be released on 30 September. Elections will probably be in two or three stages keeping festivals like Diwali and Chhath.
