Bihar Politics: The politics of Bihar is sitting at the mouth of a volcano these days. Everything looks calm from above, but the ground truth is different. The countdown of the assembly elections has started, but the institution which was expected to have fairness, now a storm of questions has arisen. Tejashwi Yadav has waged this ruckus in the politics of Bihar – according to which the Election Commission has now become a janitor of power, not the ‘protector of the Constitution’. What Tejaswi said is not just a statement, but is being said to be an attack on the democratic soul of Bihar.
“Election Commission of BJP, Modi’s mission Bihar and democracy killing”
Former Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav openly put the Election Commission in the dock and alleged that the Commission was working at the behest of the BJP.He said, “We are repeatedly asking for time to meet the Commission, but we are not being allowed to meet. This is the first time that the opposition parties in the states where elections are to be held have been sidelined.” According to Tejashwi, this is not a coincidence, but a planned political ‘manuppulation’. He claims that voters are being removed in the name of special brief revision of the voter list, and the entire operation has been composed for the benefit of the ruling party.
Why have Election Commissioner become ‘Mr. India’? “
Tejashwi said in a sarcastic tone, “When you are unable to conduct fair elections even in a state, then it is just a pretense to talk about ‘one country, one election’.” He questioned – “Has the Election Commissioner become an agent of the BJP? Or is deliberately disappearing and throwing dust in the public’s eyes?” According to Tejashwi, it is a well-planned script, in the next chapter, President’s rule can be implemented in Bihar. He said that the silence of both Prime Minister Modi and Nitish Kumar exposes this conspiracy.
“This is not just the voter list, but the vote of votes!”
Tejashwi Yadav openly said that “disappearing people’s names from the voter list, depriving them of democratic rights – this is the murder of the Constitution.” They allege that the BJP and the Election Commission are organizing the mandate in Bihar. Tejashwi also claimed that when his party’s national president Lalu Yadav himself wrote a letter to the Commission, no response came.
“This time the vote is not being taken away, there will be elections on the corpse of democracy”
This statement of Tejashwi in the political corridors has created a stir. Other parties of the Grand Alliance have also described this behavior of the Election Commission as dictatorship. Tejashwi has warned that if the commission’s attitude does not change, the upcoming election will turn into the battle of ‘Janata vs. Government Machinery’. He said that if the voice of the opposition is being suppressed today, then tomorrow the public will turn – and then democracy will be reduced to books only. Is democracy really in danger in Bihar? Has the Election Commission become a ‘political weapon’ from a fair institution? Or is this strategic trick of Tejashwi to return to power? The answer is hidden in every vote of 2025 Bihar elections – where it will be decided whether democracy will win or ‘management’.
