Bihar Politics: In Bihar’s politics, a sudden tornado has arisen. At the ‘Waqf Bachao-Dastur Bachao Bachao’ rally held at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav made a statement that has not only set fire to political circles, but has also sparked debate across the country. Tejashwi thundered in Gandhi Maidan packed with the crowd, “This country is not of anyone’s father … This is our India!” Tejashwi’s statement was targeted directly on the ruling party, but his echo has reached the streets where sensations about religion, caste and constitution are burning. And in the midst of this political Sholay, another shocking incident happened-Tejashwi Yadav narrowly escaped a drone accident, and there was a stir among the security agencies.
‘Awaaz’ in Gandhi Maidan – Tejashwi said, the country is being broken!
Tejashwi Yadav’s most aggressive political attack became the platform of Waqf Bachao-Dastur Bachao ‘Movement’ movement. He openly stated that the Waqf Amendment Act 2025 is not just a law, but a conspiracy to quietly end the voting rights of Muslims, backward and Dalits. Tejashwi said in a warning manner that this law opens the path of government possession on Waqf properties. “The manner in which the Waqf Board is being weakened, it is clear that the government neither wants to leave the land of Muslims nor their right. This conspiracy is to crush democracy,” Tejashwi said. He also claimed that in the upcoming elections, eight crore people would have to give their citizenship proof again, otherwise they will be dropped from the voter list. “This country does not belong to anyone’s father. We have watered it with blood, and no one can make it a fief of a few forces,” he said amidst the thunder of applause.
“If our government comes, this law will be canceled”
Tejashwi Yadav announced for the first time in such a vocal manner that if his government is formed in Bihar, the Waqf Amendment Act will not be allowed to be implemented. This is not just a promise, but is becoming a new political agenda for the upcoming elections. After this announcement of Tejashwi, AIMIM leader Akhtarul Iman also raised his voice from the stage and said that “This law is a deep conspiracy against minorities. It is against the Constitution.”
The opposition alleges that through this law, the District Magistrates are being given more rights on Waqf properties, which will end the control of the community. However, the central government has described it as necessary for transparency, women participation and protecting Waqf properties. The validity of this law has been heard in the Supreme Court and the verdict has been reserved. But its reaction to the ground is boiling.
‘Drone attack’ on Tejashwi during speech? Sacrifice leaders
The matter was not just political. During the speech of Tejashwi Yadav, a suspected drone at Gandhi Maidan rapidly moved towards his face. According to eyewitnesses, as soon as Tejashwi was starting speaking, a drone flew very down to him. Tejashwi immediately rescued himself by bending down, while a young man standing next to the stage hit his hand and dropped the drone. The incident was of a few seconds but exposed the security system. Tejashwi had become uncomfortable for a few moments, but while handling himself, he said again on the stage – “Now it’s time to fight, it’s time to fight.” This incident was just a coincidence or part of a pre -planned conspiracy, it is now under investigation. The Bihar Police and ATS have taken the case seriously and the owner of the drone, the purpose of the flight and the security lapse are being opened.
Is a new turn in Bihar politics?
This aggressive speech of Tejashwi Yadav and the incident of narrowly escaped has brought him back to the center of politics. The ‘Waqf Bachao’ movement is now going beyond a social issue and preparing the land of election war. It is clear that in the coming months, Tejashwi Yadav can take out the ‘Save Constitution’ against this law, and will try to create a mass movement by linking the fight of Waqf properties with the rights of Dalits and backwards. The question is this – will the voice of Tejashwi be limited only to Bihar or will this issue turn into a nationwide rebellion? And if these flames continue to grow like this regarding the Waqf law… then the next election will be fought on ‘Vikas’, ‘Battle of Haq’!
