The biggest military exercise of India-US Army started in Bikaner

The biggest military exercise of the Indo-US Army till date started at Mahajalal Field Firing in Bikaner, Rajasthan. In this military exercise, soldiers of both the armies are practicing equipped with state-of-the-art weapons. Apache M777 and Chinook helicopters are also being used in this military exercise. Along with this, the soldiers of both the countries will share their experiences with each other regarding defense in case of war from drone attacks. They will also practice to foil the enemy’s plans using strategy and technology. Along with this, the artillery rocket system of the US Army will also be used during the military exercise, which has a range of 310 kilometers and this rocket system was used during the Ukraine-Russia war.

Army spokesperson Colonel Amitabh Sharma told the media that this exercise will continue till September 22. He said that in this 20th edition of the joint military exercise, the Indian military contingent is being represented by a battalion of the Rajput Regiment. It includes 600 Indian soldiers with their weapons.

Colonel Sharma said that the 600 US military contingent in the exercise is being represented by soldiers of the 1-24 Battalion of the 11th Airborne Division of the US Army based in Alaska. Colonel Sharma said that this exercise is conducted between India and America every year since 2004. This edition marks a significant increase in the scope and complexity of the joint exercise in terms of military strength and equipment.

He said that the objective of this joint exercise is to enhance the joint military capability of both sides to conduct anti-terrorism operations in a sub-conventional environment under the seventh chapter of the United Nations mandate. Colonel Sharma said that this exercise will focus on military action in a semi-desert environment. The tactical exercises to be conducted during the exercise include joint response to terrorist action, joint planning and joint field training exercises, which simulate real-world counter-terrorism missions.

This exercise will enable both sides to share best practices in tactics, techniques and procedures for conducting joint operations. This will increase interoperability between the two armies. The joint exercise will also increase defense cooperation. Along with this, bilateral relations between the two friendly nations will be strengthened. During the war exercise, soldiers of both the armies will learn about each other’s weapons and will also learn to use them.
