The Mumbai Crime Branch unit has arrested a father who was raping his minor daughter for the last 5 years. An official gave this information on Thursday. According to this, a 16-year-old girl had gone missing from Tardeo area of central Mumbai. His father lodged a missing complaint regarding this. Within 2 days of the FIR being registered, the Crime Branch unit found the girl. During investigation, it was revealed that the girl had left the house on her own will, as her father had been raping her for five years.
Tardeo police station has registered a case against the father under sections 64 (f), 64 (i), 64 (m), 74, 65 (1), 115 (2) of the BNS and sections 4, 6, 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act. A case has been registered under several sections including 8 and 12. The accused father has been arrested and further investigation is underway. The accused is being interrogated on the basis of which further action will be taken. Besides, it is also being ascertained where the victim was staying for 2 days after running away from home. Information is also being collected about other members of his family.
Father arrested for raping 11 year old daughter
On the other hand, Pune Police has arrested a 35-year-old man for raping his 11-year-old daughter. Police said the incident came to light when the school authorities of the minor girl came to know about her sexual harassment. The school principal contacted the police and a case of rape was registered against the girl’s father under the BNS and Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act. The accused was arrested on Wednesday. An officer of Warje police station said, ‘The accused used to show obscene videos to his daughter and rape her.’ Deputy Commissioner of Police Sambhaji Kadam said that the accused was produced in the court from where he was sent to four-day police custody.
