Police have recovered a four-year-old girl who was kidnapped from Ajmer railway station in Rajasthan from a station in Ahmedabad. Police have arrested the kidnapper along with the girl from Porbandar Express train which was standing at Chand Luriya station near Ahmedabad. Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Police Force (RPF) together saved the girl’s life. Ajmer GRP police station police team has left for Ajmer with the girl and the accused.
Kidnapped the girl after winning the trust of the mother
GRP Superintendent of Police Ram Murti Joshi said that on Tuesday night, the accused won the trust of the girl’s mother on platform number one of Ajmer railway station and kidnapped the girl. The accused lured the mother into talking and gave cold drinks and eatables to the innocent girl and ran away with her. When the mother did not see the girl, she screamed and informed the GRP constable about the incident.

After filing the complaint, GRP and RPF started the investigation to save the girl with full capacity. When the CCTV cameras installed at the station were scanned, the accused was first seen going out of the station but later he was seen entering the station with the girl. With the help of railway officials, the police searched all the trains parked at the station but did not get any success.
Kidnapper caught in Ahmedabad
After this, the police launched an operation outside Ajmer. The forces of both the parties started searching together. After this, the girl was rescued from Porbandar Express standing at Chand Luriya near Ahmedabad. Along with the girl, the kidnapper was also caught.
Mr Joshi said that a case of kidnapping has been registered at the GRP police station. When the girl reaches Ajmer, her medical examination will be done and further action will be taken after finding out the motive of the accused. He said that the state’s Director General of Police has also expressed happiness over our joint action.
