The pace of rain has reduced slightly in Chhattisgarh. Light to moderate rainfall was recorded at most places in the state on Tuesday. However, heavy rainfall was recorded at four places. The maximum rainfall of 11 cm was recorded at Gandai station, Khairagarh district. The Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of decrease in the activity and intensity of rain in the state for the next 3 days from Wednesday, 11th September. The activity of monsoon will remain normal in the state. The Meteorological Department has predicted for the next 5 days that there is no possibility of any significant change in the maximum temperature during this period.
On Tuesday, the maximum temperatures in Raipur and Bilaspur divisions of the state were significantly lower than normal. The maximum temperatures in Durg and Bastar divisions were lower than normal and the maximum temperatures in Surguja division were normal. The highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded at 31.5 degrees Celsius in Balrampur and the lowest minimum temperature was recorded at 20.7 degrees Celsius in Narayanpur.

The Monsoon trough at mean sea level now lies along the centre of the low pressure area over Bikaner, Sikar, Shivpur, north-east Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas, Pendra Road, Rourkela, Digha south-eastwards to central Bay of Bengal up to 1.5 km above mean sea level.
