Even before the assembly elections in Haryana, Union Minister of State Rao Inderjit Singh has indirectly expressed his desire for the post of Chief Minister of the state. Rao Inderjit has said that the public wants me to become the Chief Minister, but the public itself decides through elections. At present, Naib Singh Saini is the Chief Minister. Whatever the top leadership of the party says has to be accepted. Elections for the 90-seat Haryana Assembly will be held on October 5 and the counting of votes will take place on October 8.
Rao Indrajit Singh said that if the people of South Haryana had not helped in the 2014 and 2019 elections, Manohar Lal Khattar would not have become the Chief Minister twice. Rao had reached the District BJP office to submit the nomination papers of BJP candidate Laxman Singh Yadav from Rewari assembly constituency. When the convoy started from the party office for the nomination, a crowd of thousands of workers and supporters was seen.
In the presence of Rao Indrajit Singh at the District Secretariat, Laxman Singh presented his nomination before the government officer. Later, while talking to journalists, Rao gave frank answers on many burning issues. He said that some workers, angry at not getting tickets, want to rebel and contest the elections.
Let us tell you that in March this year, the central leadership of BJP had made Naib Singh Saini the Chief Minister of Haryana in place of Manohar Lal Khattar. However, Khattar was later included in the Modi government.
