Film ‘The Sabarmati Report’ becomes tax free in Gujarat
Vikrant Massey’s film ‘The Sabarmati Report’ has been released in theaters on November 15. This film has been appreciated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Amit Shah. Meanwhile, now the Gujarat government has also declared this film based on the 2002 Godhra train fire incident as tax free in the state. Officials informed about this decision on Thursday. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel took this decision after watching the film.
CM Patel watched the movie in the cinema hall
On Wednesday night, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel watched the film at a theater along with its producer Ekta Kapoor, Bollywood actor Jitendra, actress Riddhi Dogra and Gujarat Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi. “The Chief Minister appreciated the film and decided to make it tax free in Gujarat,” an official release said. Apart from this, earlier this week Rajasthan, Haryana, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh had also declared this film tax free. With the film becoming tax free, its ticket prices are likely to come down, allowing more audiences to watch it.
The film is made on Godhra fire incident
The film ‘The Sabarmati Report’ is based on the incident of fire in a compartment of the Sabarmati Express train near Godhra station on February 27, 2002, in which 59 people died. Most of the dead were kar sevaks. This incident led to widespread riots in Gujarat, which became a sensitive issue in the history of the state and the country.

At the same time, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath came today to watch the film The Sabarmati Report. During this time, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak and other leaders were present with him. After this, this film has also been announced to be tax free in Uttar Pradesh.
