The Meteorological Department has put Vadodara on yellow alert for September 2. Along with this, the nearby districts of Bharuch and parts under Narmada have been put under orange alert. It has also been told that 4 districts of Saurashtra including Ahmedabad have also been included under yellow alert. South Gujarat and Central Gujarat including Anand and Baruch districts have been put under orange alert for September 4. In this way, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in September after the end of August.
Let us tell you that there was heavy rain on 23 August. After this, water was released from Ajwa Dam. Due to this, the water level in Vishwamitri river rose. Due to the overflowing of the river, most parts of the city were flooded with six to eight feet of water. During this rainy season, Gujarat has received 105 percent of its annual average rainfall in just a few days. The Meteorological Department has predicted that there will be heavy rain in 12 districts of the state.
So far 28 people have died due to this heavy rain. Due to the floods, thousands of people have been displaced to safer places. Due to continuous heavy rains and severe floods in Gujarat, the government has accelerated the relief work. Road repair work has been accelerated in Narmada district.
