There was a stir in Jamui district due to the discovery of an IED bomb. However, the security forces defused it in time. Actually, on intelligence input, the 16th battalion of SSB conducted a search operation in the Charka Pathar area on Sunday. During this, after recovering the IED bomb, it was successfully defused. It was told that under the direction of Commandant Manish Kumar of 16th Battalion Jamui and under the leadership of Company Commander Abhinav Tomar of C Samvay, a joint team of Sashastra Seema Bal and Charka Pathar police station in-charge Anirudh Kumar conducted a search operation in the area at 5 am.

This operation was conducted on the basis of intelligence. During the operation, some wire was seen on the road near Panichua village. After this, a detailed search with the help of the dog squad revealed the possibility of IED (Improvised Explosive Device) under the road. Taking immediate action on this, ASP Operation Jamui and local police were informed and bomb disposal and explosive squad was called.

After the arrival of the team of CRPF’s 215 battalion, the bomb was safely defused. Meanwhile, keeping in mind the safety of the public, the area was cordoned off and security has been tightened in the area. In this regard, SSB Commandant Manish Kumar issued a press release informing about the discovery and destruction of the bomb. However, it has not yet been revealed who planted the bomb.
