A Muslim family is being discussed a lot in Bhitarwar, Gwalior. The reason is their faith in Sanatan Dharma and organizing Shrimad Bhagwat Katha. A person named Firoz Khan performed Bhagwat Katha Gyan Yagya from 3rd to 11th October. He himself became its host and kept chanting the rosary along with his wife while listening to the story.
Firoz Khan says that he had seen Lord Hanuman in his dream and after that he decided to listen to the story. Firoz says that his father and other family members also have faith in Sanatan Dharma. Last year, when there was a good harvest, he had renovated a Hanuman temple. They believe that their crop was good only by the grace of Lord Hanuman.
Firoz told that he organized the katha with the entire family. The family listened to the story with ritual and reverence. The Hindus living nearby also fully supported him. Hundreds of people used to flock to Katha every morning and evening. Local people told that Firoz Khan, despite being a Muslim, worships in the temple like Hindus. He worships in the temple of Hanumanji in the morning and evening.
Storyteller Dr. Shyam Sundar Parashar Shastri told that he has described different pastimes of Lord Krishna. He said that Firoz’s family listened to the story with full devotion. This is the first time that one of his hosts is a non-Hindu. Bhandara will also be organized after the story.
