A threat to blow up V-R Mall (Trillium) in Amritsar, Punjab has created a sensation. An unknown person called the mall managers and said that bombs have been planted in the mall. The managers immediately informed the police control room about this. After this, police teams reached the spot and started a search operation. The police searched every inch of the mall but they did not find anything.
Bomb squad team of Punjab Police and CIA staff teams are engaged in investigation. Meanwhile, information about bomb has been received in VR Mall located in Kharar, Mohali. Police team has reached the spot and after evacuating the entire mall, conducted investigation. Bomb disposal squad and dog squad teams were also present at the spot. However, nothing has been found in the investigation there as well.
Amritsar police is tracing the caller
DCP (Headquarters) Satvir Singh Atwal said that as soon as he received information about a bomb in Amritsar mall from the control room, he reached the spot with police force and started a search operation. Police is investigating the spot. He said that it is a festival day and a large number of people are visiting the mall. Police is investigating the matter and will soon find out which youth had made the call.
Threat sent to Mohali police through e-mail
Police officials said that they had received an email in which it was written that a bomb has been planted in a mall in Mohali. Due to this, they reached the mall and started investigating. A day earlier, there was a threat of bombing Amritsar’s Sri Guru Ramdas International Airport. The police arrested the accused within 24 hours. He was identified as Gurdev Singh alias Sabi. He is a resident of Ferozepur. During interrogation, the accused has also revealed the names of his two other accomplices. They are currently absconding. The police is searching for his two accomplices. A message was sent to the reception counter of Indigo Airlines through an email on the official email of Indigo Airlines that six bombs have been planted at the airport. The threat said that if one crore rupees are not sent to the address given by him, the airport will be blown up. The police was informed about this. The police searched the airport but no bomb was found. This threat turned out to be fake. The police traced the IP address and reached the accused and arrested him. During interrogation, he also revealed the names of two companions.
