What will be the speed
According to Western Railway officials, the Ahmedabad-Bhuj Vande Metro train will stop at nine stations and cover a distance of 360 km in five hours and 45 minutes at a maximum speed of 110 kmph. It will depart from Bhuj at 5:05 am and reach Ahmedabad Junction at 10:50 am, officials had said.
Know the fare and route
Railways have fixed fares for the air-conditioned Vande Metro train, which covers short and medium distance travel in minimum time, and the fare from Bhuj to Ahmedabad, 359 km away, will be Rs 455. The first Vande Metro will run between Bhuj and Ahmedabad in Gujarat (359 km) and will connect Gandhidham, Anjar, Bhachau, Dharandhra, Samkhyali, Halvad, Viramgam, Chandlodia and Sabarmati stations. The Vande Metro train has been conceived to connect peripheral cities with the city centre.
The average fare of this train will be around Rs 1, 25 to 30 paise per kilometer. According to the table, the minimum fare will be Rs 30, which will be valid up to 23 kilometers. The total fare for 24 to 27 kilometers will be Rs 35 and for 28 to 31 kilometers the fare will be Rs 40. According to sources, a passenger will have to pay Rs 130 for a journey of 100 kilometers, Rs 190 for 150 kilometers, Rs 255 for a distance of 200 kilometers, Rs 315 for a distance of 250 kilometers, Rs 380 for 300 kilometers and Rs 505 for a distance of 400 kilometers.
