Uttarakhand news: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced two important initiatives with the aim of promoting education and environmental protection in the state. As part of the first initiative, topper students of class 10 and 12 in each district of the state will get an opportunity to play the role of District Magistrate (DM) and Superintendent of Police (SP) for a day. The purpose of this scheme is to give direct information to the meritorious students about administrative functions, instill confidence in them and motivate them to set high goals. The Chief Minister informed that this program will soon be implemented in all the districts and a detailed action plan is being prepared for this.
River festival
The second initiative will be organized in the name of the major rivers of the state. These events will be conducted with the participation of local communities and their purpose is to increase public awareness about the cleanliness, conservation and revival of rivers.
Rivers lifestyle
Chief Minister Dhami said that rivers are not only water sources, but they are an important part of the culture, tradition and lifestyle of Uttarakhand. He also clarified that through these efforts, the government not only wants to honor the educational talent, but also wants to convey the sense of environmental responsibility to the people. Both these initiatives reflect the state government’s commitment to education and environment.
