UP Roadways: Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation, giving a gift to the passengers, may decide to increase the fare of passenger AC buses by 15 percent. The department is likely to announce it soon. The period of fare reduction will be from 15th to 28th December.

Last year also the fare was reduced due to cold. Then from 16 December to 28 February this exemption was given by the roadways. In UP, the department has about 1000 buses by which more than 10 thousand people travel daily. In the cold season, the inflow of passengers in AC buses reduces due to which the department has to suffer huge losses. Most of the AC buses in the state run for the capital Lucknow.
