Uttarakhand: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami waved the flag of Shivaji in Aurangzeb and Shivaji’s politics. Taking an important decision today, Chief Minister Dhami announced a change in the names of various places in Haridwar, Dehradun, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar districts. CM Dhami said that this change is being done in accordance with public spirit and Indian culture and heritage, so that people should take inspiration from our great men who have contributed significantly to Indian culture and its conservation.
CM Dhami changed the name of Aurangzebpur to Shivajinagar. In Devbhoomi, Lord Shankar’s in -laws have been given a new name Shivajinagar in Bhagwanpur block of Haridwar. Ghaziwali of Bahadurbad block was named Aryanagar, Chandpur was named Jyotiba Phule Nagar. Mohammadpur Jat of Narsan block has been named Mohanpur Jat and Khanpur Cursley has been named Ambedkar Nagar. Idrishpur of Khanpur block will now be named Nandpur. The name of Khanpur will now be Shri Krishnapuri. Akbarpur Fazalpur of Roorkee block will be known as Vijayanagar. Mianwala of Dehradun will now be Ramjiwala.
There will be Pirwala Kesarinagar and Chandpur Khurd Prithvirajanagar of Vikas Nagar Block. Abdullapur of Sahaspur block will now be known as Dakshanagar. Nawabi Road of Nainital will be known as Atal Marg and ITI Marg to ITI Marg. Sultanpur Patti, Nagar Panchayat of Udhamsingh Nagar, is now named Kaushalyapuri.
Political battle over Aurangzeb
