Uttarakhand: To become the capital of yoga and wellness
The Chief Minister reminded that in 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposed to recognize Yoga as International Day at the United Nations General Assembly. The proposal was supported by 177 countries and 21 June was declared International Yoga Day.
He also mentioned that in Uttarakhand, which is the ancient land of Yoga and sages and sages, the government is committed to ensure that the practice of yoga reaches every person to the village level. In addition, new employment opportunities are also being created through yoga. A new yoga policy has also been implemented to develop Uttarakhand as a global capital of yoga and wellness. This policy is an important step towards promoting yoga in the state and increasing economic opportunities related to it.
