Rakshit Chaurasia after the accident
In Vadodara, Gujarat, Rakshit Chaurasia, who hit three vehicles, was driving drunk. The police have revealed after investigation that the accused Rakshit and the other two youths sitting in the car were consumed. One woman was killed and seven others were injured in the accident. According to the police, the primary report of Forensic Science Laboratory in Gandhinagar revealed that he was not drunk at the time of the incident, but he had drunk hemp. Along with Chaurasia, drugs have also been confirmed in the bloody samples of Pranshu Chauhan and Suresh Bharwad. This medical report came about 20 days after the accident.
The police have registered a case against the three accused under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act, 1985 and have also imposed Section 185 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 against Chaurasia, under which driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is a criminal act.

Chaurasia is currently lodged in Vadodara Central Jail. His friend Pranshu Chauhan has also been arrested. At the same time, the third accused is absconding. Deputy Commissioner of Police Panna Momaya said, “We received reports of blood samples of all three today, in which drugs have been confirmed. They were driving a car after drinking ganja. We have arrested the co-passenger of Rakshit Chaurasia and the third accused will also be arrested soon.”
Accident took place on 13 March
On 13 March, 23 -year -old Law Student Chaurasia of Prayagraj hit three vehicles from her car, killing a woman Hemali Patel. The incident occurred near Amrapali Char Rasta in Karelibagh, the busy intersection of Vadodara. The video of the incident was also revealed. After the accident, the accused was shouting ‘One More Round’ and ‘Om Namah Shivaay’ like Rakshit crazy. The next day after the accident, two accused were arrested and they were accused of culpable homicide.
The accused made an excuse for airbag
Rakshit, a student of Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, had earlier refused to driving or driving at a high speed and blamed the car airbag for the accident. The accused had said, “We were overtaking a scooter and turned to the right, when our car fell into a pit. The car hit another vehicle and opened the airbag, which stopped seeing me and the car got out of control. I was told that a woman died and others were injured. I want to meet the families of the victims.”
