The police official said that the accident occurred near Limkheda on the Indore-Ahmedabad highway at around 2 pm. He said that a tourist van bringing 10 pilgrims collided with a truck parked on the road. The official said that a woman was also included in the dead.
The injured were admitted to the hospital
Police said that those killed were from Ankleshwar in Bharuch district and Dholaka in Ahmedabad district. The official said, ‘The pilgrims were returning from Mahakumbh. 4 people, including a woman, died on the spot and 6 others were injured. The injured have been taken to the hospital.
Identity of dead
According to the police, the deceased have been identified as Devraj Naqum (49), resident of Ankleshwar and his wife Jasuba (47) and Dholaka resident Siddharaj Dabhi (32) and Ramesh Goswami (47). The injured are being hospitalized and treated. (With language input)
