Vande Bharat: Good news has arrived, Mumbai will soon get the seventh Vande Bharat; on which route will it run

Vande Bharat Updates: There is good news for the fans of the country’s most popular train Vande Bharat. Yes, Mumbaikars are going to get another Vande Bharat. To promote rail connectivity in Mumbai, another Vande Bharat Express will be launched soon. This new semi-high-speed train will run on the Mumbai-Pune-Kolhapur route. Earlier, Vande Bharat Express was running on the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus-Pune-Solapur route from Mumbai to Pune.

Mumbai-Pune-Kolhapur Vande Bharat will be started soon

According to a Times of India report, the seventh Vande Bharat train will soon be launched from Mumbai. This train will not only provide a pleasant travel experience to the passengers but will also strengthen the connectivity between Mumbai, Pune and Kolhapur. According to a senior Central Railway official, “Currently the fastest train between Mumbai and Kolhapur is the Mahalaxmi Express, which covers the distance of 518 km in about 10.30 hours.” The average speed of the Mahalaxmi Express is 48.94 km per hour, while the Vande Bharat Express is known for its better speed and ability to reach the destination in less time.

Although it is not yet decided when Vande Bharat Express will start on this route, officials believe that after the doubling of Pune-Miraj line, the capacity of operating trains on this route has increased, which is expected to reduce travel time drastically. After the introduction of this new train, Central Railway will operate five Vande Bharat Express trains from Mumbai, while Western Railway will run two Vande Bharat Express trains between Mumbai and Gujarat. These trains include Mumbai Central-Gandhinagar and Mumbai Central-Ahmedabad routes.

People will get better connectivity

With the Mumbai-Pune-Kolhapur Vande Bharat running, the total number of Vande Bharat trains in Maharashtra will now be 11, including the existing trains running from Nagpur and Pune. Apart from this, Vande Bharat Express can also be started on Nagpur-Secunderabad and Pune-Hubli routes soon.
