A major accident has occurred in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Two people died and two were injured when a wall caved in near the Mahakal temple here. The injured have been taken to the hospital for treatment. The SP and Collector of the district have reached the spot. Relief work is being done by deploying bulldozers.
According to the information received so far, 2 people have died in this incident. The dead include a woman and a man. He has been identified as foreign husband Azad Rathore, 22 years resident of Jaisinghpura Ujjain. Ajay’s father Omnath Yogi, aged 27 years, resident of Shivshakti Nagar, Ujjain, also died in this accident. Two people have also been injured in this incident, they are undergoing treatment in the hospital. The injured have been identified as Sharda Bai, husband of Sohan Lal. Her age is 40 years and she is a resident of village Ujjainiya police station poor area.

As soon as information about the accident was received, the rescue team along with police and administration officials reached the spot. Relief and rescue operations started amidst heavy rain. The injured were pulled out from the debris and taken to the hospital. The priest of Mahakal temple has called it a natural disaster. A person living near the wall said that his house is adjacent to this wall. Not even a year has passed since the wall was built. I had told the commissioner to raise the wall by four feet. But no attention was paid. He said that there is black soil here. Even earlier there was no proper drainage system from here.
