Father of the deceased doctor said that I am the father of Abhaya (fictitious name) and am writing this letter to you with a humble request to arrange a meeting as per your convenience or at any place suggested by you.

The father of a trainee female doctor, who was raped and murdered about two months ago at the government RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, has written a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday requesting him to give her an appointment. The deceased’s father said he was “experiencing extreme mental stress and feeling helpless” at the moment. In an e-mail sent to the Union Minister, he said he wanted guidance and help from Shah.

The victim’s father said, “I am the father of Abhaya (fictitious name) and I am writing this letter to you with a humble request to arrange a meeting as per your convenience or at any place suggested by you. After that heinous unexpected incident that happened with our daughter, we are going through extreme mental stress and now feel helpless.

He said, “I would like to meet with my wife to discuss certain aspects related to this matter and seek your guidance and help.” I would be truly grateful for the opportunity to speak to you and seek your insight on this issue, as I believe your experience and guidance will be invaluable.” The father also asked the Union Home Minister to spare a few minutes for him. the requested.

“Please let me know when and where you can spare a few minutes for us,” he said. Then, we can prepare ourselves. I thank you for your time and consideration of this request and look forward to your favorable response…I look forward to the opportunity to meet you.”

Later, the victim’s mother said that she was confident that she would get an appointment with the Union Home Minister when she personally requested for guidance and justice. He said, “I hope Amit Shah ji will give us time. I will tell them about the mental pain we are feeling due to our daughter not getting justice till now.

The body of a female trainee doctor on duty at R.G.Kar Hospital was found in a semi-nude state in the seminar hall on August 9. After this incident came to light, junior doctors from all over West Bengal started a ‘work bandh’ movement demanding justice for the victim. This entire episode is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
