While giving a statement in a rally, Maharashtra’s BJP MLA Nitesh Rane has given such a statement about the Muslim community that a controversy has erupted. He warned about the Muslim community’s protest against Mahant Ramgiri. He said that if anyone says anything about Mahant Ramgiri Maharaj, we will enter mosques and kill them one by one. Nitesh Rane said that if you are concerned about your community, then do not say anything about our Ramgiri Maharaj. Otherwise, we will not let that tongue remain right. His statement has been strongly condemned by many parties including Congress, RJD, calling it provocative.
Ahmednagar police has also registered two cases against him. During his speech, Rane said, ‘If you speak against our Ramgiri Maharaj… (using abusive language) then they will say that I spoke in Marathi, so I am threatening you in the language you understand. If you do anything against our Ramgiri Maharaj, we will come inside your mosques and beat you up. Keep this in mind.’ His statement is being termed as provocative and action is being demanded from BJP.
Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM has also condemned Rane. Party’s Waris Pathan shared a video of Nitesh Rane and alleged that BJP wants to incite communal violence before the elections. Nitesh Rane’s speech is provocative. Legal action should be taken against him. Apart from this, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has also targeted BJP on the pretext of Nitesh Rana.
