Chhattisgarh Weather: Chhattisgarh is expected to have bad weather for three days amid the possibility of a cyclonic storm developing over the east-central Bay of Bengal. IMD says that the weather will be bad in different parts of Chhattisgarh on October 21, 24 and 25. Talking about the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain was recorded at one or two places in Chhattisgarh. The highest rainfall of 3 cm was recorded at station Chhura (Gariaband district).
The Meteorological Department says that a low pressure area has formed over the east central Bay of Bengal and the adjacent North Andaman Sea. It is likely to move west-northwest and turn into a deep depression by the morning of October 22. It is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm over east-central Bay of Bengal by October 23.
The Meteorological Department has predicted thunderstorms and showers in different parts of Chhattisgarh during the next 24 hours. Incidents of lightning can also be seen at some places. There is a possibility of rain and thundershowers at some places, especially in Bastar, Kondagaon, Dantewada, Sukma, Kanker, Bijapur, Narayanpur districts of Bastar division. It may also rain at some places.

On October 24, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of rain with thunder and lightning at some places in Jashpur of Surguja division and Raigarh, Saranggarh-Bilaigarh, Sakti, Janjgir districts of Bilaspur division on October 24. There is a possibility of showers or rain at some places in Raipur, Balodabazar, Gariaband, Dhamtari, Mahasamund of Raipur division, while in Bastar, Kondagaon, Dantewada, Sukma, Kanker, Bijapur, Narayanpur districts of Bastar division.
On October 25, the Meteorological Department affected Raipur, Balodabazar, Gariaband, Dhamtari, Mahasamund of Raipur division, Durg, Balod, Bemetara, Kabirdham, Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, Rajnandgaon, Mohla Manpur Ambagarh outpost of Durg division and Bastar, Kondagaon, Bastar of Bastar division. There is a possibility of rain or thundershowers at some places in Dantewada, Sukma, Kanker, Bijapur, Narayanpur districts.
