A video of Jansatta Dal president and Kunda MLA Raja Bhaiya is going viral on social media. What Raja Bhaiya said about the Waqf Board during a program in Gujarat is being shared widely. Raja Bhaiya said that there is no Waqf Board in any country other than India. Raja Bhaiya had come to Rajkot to participate in a program organized under the aegis of Maharaja Madhanta Singh ji.
In the video viral on social media, Raja Bhaiya can be heard mentioning the powers of the Waqf Board and saying that no one from the District Court to the Supreme Court has the right to interfere in it. Taking the name of Congress for giving such powers to the Waqf, Raja Bhaiya also expressed support for the move of the Modi government. Without taking the name of PM Modi, he also said that if our leader has decided to abolish it, then he needs to be supported.
Raja Bhaiya said, ‘These days you must be hearing another word, Waqf. There is no Waqf Board in any country on this earth, only in India. There is no Islamic country. In 2013, the Congress government gave powers to Waqf. Just listen to the mention of that. The decision of Waqf will be taken by the Waqf court. There, the jurisdiction of the district court, High Court, Supreme Court ends. The Waqf Board gave you a notice that this property belongs to Waqf. If you have any objection, then there is an office in the state, you can go there and do it. If you do not respond in a year, then it will be considered that you have no objection, your house, land, village will be declared the property of Waqf. This is in writing.’
Describing the Waqf Board Amendment Bill as being in the national interest, he said, ‘Today you must be watching on TV that voting is being done in its favour. Many Maulanas… voting is being done through mobile. We all should be vocal in this, because the responsibility of protecting the nation is not only of the politicians. Whatever we keep, if we keep a house, we clean and paint it, if we keep a cow, we feed it, if we keep a vehicle, it has to be serviced, fuel and water has to be filled, it has to be looked after. Today our leaders are taking difficult decisions, so we all need to encourage them. This is in the national interest.’
