There was a commotion on Monday afternoon due to firing incident in the CMO office of Harsud Nagar Parishad of Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh. A driver working on daily wages, who came with a pistol, fired 3 rounds as soon as the female CMO (Chief Municipal Officer) arrived. The accused carried out the incident with a country-made pistol. Fortunately, the CMO narrowly escaped in this firing incident. However, an employee who came to intervene was seriously injured. He has been admitted to the hospital.
The incident took place at 12:30 pm in Harsud CMO office. According to the information received, CMO Monika Pardi was working in her cabin as usual. Meanwhile, CMO’s driver Vishal Namdev suddenly entered the cabin. He was hired on daily wages. As soon as he arrived, he fired 3 rounds one after the other on CMO Pardi with a country-made pistol. The sound of firing created panic in the premises. Police also reached the spot as soon as the information was received. Police took the accused into custody.
A case has been registered against the accused. It is said that the Nagar Parishad CMO Monika Pardhi had issued a show cause notice to the attacking driver for diesel theft and other charges. He did not give a satisfactory reply to this. Due to this, the CMO dismissed him. Angered by this, the accused Vishal Namdev carried out the incident. All three bullets hit the walls. When employee Rakesh came to intervene during the firing, the accused hit him on the head with the butt of the pistol.
Rakesh has been admitted to the hospital. Accused Vishal was working as a daily wage driver in the office. He was fired a few months ago on suspicion of diesel theft. After this he returned to work again. Recently he was fired again on suspicion of diesel theft. Additional Superintendent of Police Mahend Taranekar said that accused Vishal is in police custody. He was suspended by the CMO. Due to this he attacked. Harsud police station will find out through interrogation where he got the pistol from.
