A video of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab MLA Jagdeep Kamboj Goldy’s father is going viral on social media, in which he is allegedly seen showing AK-47 weapon. This video has been tweeted by BJP National Secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa. Now there is a demand for police action regarding this. AAP MLA Jagdeep Kamboj ‘Goldy”s father’s name is Surinder Kamboj. In the alleged video, Surinder Kamboj, wearing a black kurta, is making a reel on a song while the woman is seen holding an AK-47 in her hand.
Sirsa said in his tweet, “The government of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Ji should clarify whether the families of AAP MLAs are allowed to display such banned and advanced weapons openly? The DGP of Punjab Police should immediately investigate this.” “How is this weapon, which appears to be from the Punjab Police stock, being used? If it is an official weapon, on whose orders was it accessed and why is it being shown in public?”
He further said, “Gun violence is on the rise in Punjab and this video from the family of an elected representative of AAP is a matter of grave concern. This is another example of Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP saying one thing on camera, but doing something behind the scenes.” “The back works differently.” There is a demand for investigation of this video. Till now no official statement has come from Aam Aadmi Party or MLA Jagdeep Kamboj Goldy regarding this incident.
Surinder Kamboj has been in controversies before and was even arrested in an extortion case last year. He was arrested after a case was registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including section 384 (extortion), at Jalalabad police station in Punjab. A case was registered against Surinder Kamboj and three others, including two women, following a complaint by Jalalabad resident property dealer Sunil Kumar.
Apart from this, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) had also made Surinder Kamboj, father of AAP’s Jalalabad MLA Jagdeep Singh Goldy Kamboj, its candidate from Firozpur Lok Sabha seat. He had joined Mayawati’s party this year. According to the information, 14 cases of extortion, fraud etc. are registered against Surinder Kamboj.
