During this time, a big module was busted, in which it was revealed that a Lashkar commander named ‘Baba Hamas’ was engaged in this work. He was extensively involving the youth of Kashmir valley with terrorism and wanted to establish a front organization of Lashkar-e-Taiba, Tehreek Labaik or Muslim, in the valley.
This Hamas Baba is also called Ghazi Hamas. Its real name has not been known yet, but the youth caught have told that they were connected through social media apps. Used to send material to youth to push them towards radicalism. He had also sent some people from Pakistan to Jammu and Kashmir, who had come by infiltration. These people are also believed to be involved in the terrorist attack in Ganderbal. Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha had also said regarding the Ganderbal attack that the involvement of two foreign terrorists has also been revealed. These people had entered from Bandipora in North Kashmir.
Jammu and Kashmir Police issued a statement saying, ‘Based on information, it has been revealed that Lashkar’s terrorist handler Baba Hamas was active from Pakistan. He wanted to establish an organization named Tehreek Labaik Ya-Muslim here. For this, he was carrying out this work in the valley along with overground workers, supporters and other fundamentalist people. He was also getting help from Pakistani agencies in this. The aim of these people was to increase terrorism afresh in Kashmir. This was being done to convey the message of instability especially after successful elections and formation of a new government.
