IPS arun dev gautam: The Chhattisgarh government has appointed Arun Dev Gautam, a 1992 batch IPS officer, the new head of the police. He has been made the Acting Director General of Police of Chhattisgarh. Mr. Gautam will replace IPS officer Ashok Juneja. After the retirement of Mr. Juneja, Arun Dev Gautam has been given the command of the police. As soon as the news of IPS officer Arundev Gautam became DGP, the people of Abhaypur of Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh got the news. There was a festive atmosphere in the entire village.

Who is IPS Arundev Gautam
Arun Dev, a 1992 batch IPS officer of Chhattisgarh cadre, hails from Uttar Pradesh. It took place on July 2, 1967 in Abhaypur village in Kanpur. He was very smart in studies since childhood. He did his early education from the Deeksha Village in the village. After this, he studied class nine and ten from Seva Samiti Vidyalaya Mandir Inter College Prayagraj. Arundev Gautam completed intermediate studies from GIC Prayagraj. He graduated from Allahabad University and a Masters degree from JNU New Delhi.
After completing his studies, he preparations for UPSC. On the basis of his hard work and dedication, Arundev Gautam crack UPSC in the year 1992 and became an IPS officer. After completion of training on 12 October 1992, he joined the police service. Mr. Gautam was first given Madhya Pradesh cadre. He was posted in Jabalpur as a trainee IPS. After this he became CSP in Bilaspur district. His deployment from there SDOP Kawardha Hurta. After Kawardha, IPS Arundev Gautam was made Additional SP Bhopal. He has also fulfilled the responsibility of Commandant of the 23rd Battalion of MP Police.
As a Superintendent of Police, he had his first deployment in Bhopal. After the formation of Chhattisgarh state in 2000, IPS Arun Dev Gautam was allotted Chhattisgarh cadre. In Chhattisgarh, he has held the responsibility of Superintendent of Police of Korea, Raigad, Jashpur, Rajnandgaon, Surguja and Bilaspur district. Along with this, after becoming DIG, IPS Arundev Gautam has taken charge of important departments of police headquarters, CID, finance and scheme, administration and Chief Minister’s Security.
IPS Arun Dev Gautam was made the Superintendent of Police after the martyrdom of 29 policemen and Superintendents of Police in the Naxalite attack in Rajnandgaon in 2009. There he dusted the Naxalites. IPS officer Arun Dev Gautam has been awarded the President’s Police Medal for the Special Service in 2010, along with the United Nations Medal for outstanding works.
