Who is IPS Avaksha Kumar?
Aakash Kumar is an IPS officer of the year 2012. His childhood was spent in Bokaro, Jharkhand. Although he is originally a resident of Simrao village of Bhojpur. Avakash Kumar was smart in studies since childhood. He has done Mechanical Engineering from IIT BHU. After completing his studies, he worked in Defense Research Development Organization (DRDO).
After working as a scientist in DRDO for four years, he started preparing for civil services and also achieved success. After joining the police service, Avakash Kumar took charge of many important posts. Before being made SSP of Patna, Avakash Kumar was looking after the post of SP of CID. He has also held the post of SP Rural in Gaya, SP in Arrah and Begusarai and SSP in Darbhanga.
Came into limelight after encounter in 2019
IPS officer Avakash Kumar came into limelight after an encounter while serving as the Superintendent of Police of Begusarai. In the year 2019, during an encounter, Avakash Kumar had killed notorious criminals named Sumant Kumar, Dharma Yadav and Balram Sahni in a garden of Cheria Bariyarpur police station.
