Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi is on a four-day visit to America. During this visit, the ruling party at the center, BJP, is attacking him on the statement he made on the condition of Sikhs in India. However, Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu is elated with Rahul’s statement. Pannu has supported Rahul’s statement and said that it justifies his and his organization Sikh for Justice’s demand for a separate Khalistan. Pannu has called Rahul Gandhi’s statement bold.
Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, declared a terrorist in India, said that the statement made by Rahul Gandhi is not only bold but also shows the atrocities being committed on Sikhs since 1947. Pannu further said that Gandhi’s statement confirms the demand for independence of Punjab and a separate Khalistan state by SFJ. He has been running propaganda demanding Khalistan for the last several years. Gurpatwant Singh Pannu is the co-founder of the banned organization Sikh for Justice. He has been declared a terrorist by the Home Ministry in India on the grounds of treason and separatism.
Let us tell you that while addressing hundreds of people from the Indian American community in Herndon, Virginia suburb of Washington, Rahul Gandhi has alleged that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) considers some religions, languages and communities to be inferior to others. He said that in India, the fight is being fought for this and not for politics.
He said, “First of all you have to understand what the fight is about. The fight is not about politics.” Rahul asked a Sikh man sitting in the first row of the audience, “My turbaned brother, what is your name?” The Congress leader said, “The fight is about whether a Sikh has the right to wear a turban or a kada in India or not. Or as a Sikh, he can go to the Gurudwara or not. The fight is about this and it is not only for him, but for all religions.” Rahul Gandhi is currently on a four-day visit to America. The first stop of his visit, which started on Saturday, was Dallas and he reached Washington on Monday, where he made this statement.
