Chhattisgarh Weather: With the departure of the southwest monsoon, the weather is going to be bad once again in Chhattisgarh. According to the Meteorological Department, a low pressure area may form in the Bay of Bengal. The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast of bad weather in various parts of Chhattisgarh till September 26. A yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain in some districts of Chhattisgarh during the next 24 hours. At the same time, light to moderate rain is expected in many districts.
According to the information shared by the Meteorological Department, conditions are becoming favorable for the withdrawal of southwest monsoon from western Rajasthan and parts of Kutch around September 23. Not only this, the monsoon trough is moving southeastwards through Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Odisha to reach the west-central Bay of Bengal.
Not only this, another trough with two cyclonic circulations is going from Andhra Pradesh coast to South Coastal Myanmar. One cyclonic circulation is over West-Central Bay of Bengal while the other is over South Coastal Myanmar and adjoining areas. It is likely to move towards west-northwest.
Under the influence of these two cyclonic circulations, a low pressure area is likely to form over the west-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas around September 23. The above mentioned weather conditions can also affect the plains. Obviously, with the departure of monsoon, heavy rains can be seen in many parts of the country.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather may remain bad in different parts of Chhattisgarh till September 26. IMD has warned of light to moderate rain with thunderstorms at various places in Gariaband, Dhamtari, Mahasamund, Balod, Rajnandgaon, Mohla-Manpur-Ambagadh Chowki, Kanker, Narayanpur districts of the state during the next 24 hours. The Meteorological Department has also forecast light to moderate rain at some places in Bilaspur, Raigarh, Saranggarh-Bilaigarh, Sakti, Mungeli, Korba, Janjgir, Raipur, Durg, Bemetara, Balodabazar and Kabirdham districts. However, no alert has been issued regarding this.
